This Redwood Tree Forest Art PRINT is majestic ancient redwood trees growing on the Northern Coast of California and Oregon. These magnificent trees can reach 400 feet (120 meters) in height. These giants can live to be 2,000 years old and have graced the planet for more than 240 million years. Here the morning sun shines through the famous fog that blankets the coast above San Francisco.
This is one of a series of my Plein Air paintings of the American West. There are many beautiful sights to inspire a painter: the powerful Pacific Ocean, the river rapids and glass-calm lakes, the rolling foothills and majestic Sierra Nevada and Rocky Mountains, and the strangely serene deserts. I can't wait to get back out there!
